01 · The SION Standard

Not instructors. Practicing engineers.

Every SION Varsity trainer is an active engineer inside the SION technology ecosystem — currently working on real semiconductor projects at SION Semiconductors or Xtremesilica. They are not consultants, coaches, or educators by profession. They are chip designers who also teach — because SION believes the only way to prepare an engineer for industry is to be taught by someone inside it.

Standard 01
Active project requirement
Every trainer must be working on a live engineering project at the time of teaching. No trainer can deliver sessions based on past experience alone. If they're not building, they're not teaching.
Standard 02
Tool fluency — not theory
Trainers must demonstrate current, hands-on proficiency in the tools they teach — Synopsys VCS, Design Compiler, Verdi, PrimeTime, Xilinx Vivado. Not familiarity. Proficiency.
Standard 03
Engineering Head review
All trainers are reviewed by the SION Varsity Engineering Head — Mr. Chand Basha — before joining the teaching roster. Technical and project background is verified against current SION ecosystem work.
Standard 04
Rotating per cohort
The trainer roster rotates per program cohort — ensuring students always learn from engineers whose project experience is current. No frozen curriculum. No stale case studies. Real work, real context, every batch.
Standard 05
Module-matched expertise
Each module is taught by an engineer with directly relevant, verifiable expertise — RTL modules by RTL engineers, verification modules by verification engineers with active UVM project experience.

No placeholder content
SION Varsity does not publish trainer profiles until they are formally onboarded and verified. No stock photos. No invented bios. If a name appears here, it is real and verified.
02 · Why the Roster Changes Per Batch

Fresh engineers. Current projects.

The semiconductor industry moves fast. A training program that relies on a fixed roster of instructors will inevitably teach last year's methodology on last year's tools with last year's perspective. SION Varsity deliberately rotates its trainer roster per batch — so the engineer teaching you RTL synthesis this cohort was doing synthesis three weeks ago.

What this means for students: Every cohort gets trainers who are actively engaged in the semiconductor ecosystem, not engineers coasting on credentials earned a decade ago.
What this means for training quality: Case studies, debugging examples, and tool workflows are drawn from actual recent projects — not slides that haven't changed since 2019.
What this means for your career: When a hiring manager asks "what tools have you used?", you will answer based on the same tools your trainer was using on a production project last month.
Verified per batch: Before each cohort, the Engineering Head confirms active project status for every trainer on that batch's roster.
Trainer Profile Format

Verified engineer bios, current SION ecosystem role, active project context, teaching modules and technical background are published for each trainer when they formally join a cohort's roster.
